Our Integrative Approach to Psychiatry & Wellness

At PEP Holistic Psychiatry & Wellness, we embrace a comprehensive approach that combines the best of conventional and alternative treatments. By focusing on the root causes of mental health challenges, we provide patients with customized care that not only alleviates symptoms but fosters long-term wellness. We offer:

  • Comprehensive Psychiatry Services: Expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and more.
  • Functional Psychiatry: Advanced, evidence-based techniques to identify and address the underlying factors affecting mental health, such as nutritional imbalances or hormonal issues.
  • Integrative Medicine: A blend of conventional medicine with alternative therapies, such as energy medicine and nutritional counseling.
  • Child & Adolescent Psychiatry: Specialized care tailored to meet the developmental and emotional needs of children and teenagers.

What to Expect

In your first visit, Dr. Andrews will obtain a complete medical history and review lab you have brought or sent along with current labs that you have completed. The key to Functional Psychiatry is providing personalized treatment plans as we get to the root cause of health problems. That generally entails a detailed conversation about your current state of health, health history, family history, diet, lifestyle habits, etc.

This first visit will last approximately 120 minutes and is primarily an information gathering and sharing session. A Functional Psychiatry practitioner spends time with the patients to really get to know them, to hear their story, their narrative at a very deep level and to understand the things that predisposed them to their illness, the triggers, and lifestyles that may be triggering and perpetuating the condition they are experiencing.

Dr. Andrews may make some simple recommendations at this time, but most advice will be deferred until after further lab testing is completed and there has been time to thoughtfully consider your case.

Please be aware that recovering from chronic, complex mental health illness compounded by medical disorders requires a substantial commitment of time, energy, and financial resources. Progress is often circular rather than linear. You may experience periods where your symptoms worsen or your improvements seem to plateau. This is a normal progression and is to be expected. It is important to continue treatment through these cycles to achieve a successful outcome.
